QRL.LA is going through intense development.
The main functionality works, but UI and feature improvements are being rolled out almost every day.
I created this website because I hope that it takes us all one step closer to a better internet. I am against the constant tracking and popups that are pervasive in today's web experience. This site is built from the ground up and uses external resources to a minimum. I do not add any tracking cookies, and have decided against using any popups. I am specifically avoiding the use of Google Analytics and other tracking services.
My background is in data management and this seemed like an interesting project to pursue from that perspective as well. The idea of storing large numbers of URLs and exposing them to users in a speedy fashion seemed challenging. It also challenged me from a more general programming perspective - not only did a UI need to be developed but the whole site had to integrate with Stripe - the payment processor.
It took quite a few nights to get to this stage. In the coming weeks I hope to roll out:
